Junior Cycle Research

Dominican College has been selected as a Case Study School to conduct national research on the Junior Cycle Framework. A core part of this research involves exploring views and experiences of the Junior Cycle.

A group of researchers from the University of Limerick will conduct research in the school on the Framework for Junior Cycle. We are seeking parental Consent from all Junior Cycle students/parents to consent for your child to participate in this study.

The study aims to capture the experiences and perspectives of schools regarding the Framework for Junior Cycle. We are conducting case studies of up to 12 schools, gathering interviews, survey data from school leaders, teachers, students, and parents. Researchers will visit Dominican College on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th of May 2022.

Please see student and parent information sheets and consent forms to invite junior cycle students to participate in a survey and focus group.
