Junior Camogie Team Cruises to Victory in Semi-Final Against Loreto Beaufort
Dominican College: 4-12 Loreto Beaufort: 1-2
The junior camogie team showcased their dominance on the field with a commanding victory over Loreto Beaufort in their semi-final. From the outset, it was clear that the team had come prepared, displaying exceptional teamwork, precision, and skill throughout the match. The forwards were unstoppable, with Emma Broderick and Clodagh Glennon leading the way with early scores. This early lead set the tone for the game, as Loreto Beaufort struggled to match the pace and intensity of the attack. By halftime, the team had built an impressive lead, thanks to the tireless work of Stephanie O’Riordan Lopez and Maria Burke in the middle of the park. At centre-back Laura McGlinchey controlled the game, delivering pinpoint passes and breaking up Loreto’s attempts to counterattack. Meanwhile, the full back line, led by Ella Truman and Lucy Mahon, proved impenetrable, limiting Beaufort to just a handful of scoring opportunities. The final whistle confirmed a comprehensive victory, with a scoreline that reflected the team’s dominance. With this decisive win, the junior camogie team advances confidently to the championship final, ready to continue their stellar campaign.
Senior Team
The championship came to an end for our senior camogie team in an unfortunate 1 point loss to Maynooth in the semi-final. We would like to thank all of our 6th-year players for their commitment to the school camogie teams over the past few years and wish them all the best with their future camogie endeavours for club, college, and county.
