I look forward to many opportunities within this website to acknowledge and celebrate the numerous achievements and events that make our school a very special place. As a Dominican school under the Le Chéile Trust, our school mission statement“Inspired by our motto: ‘Veritas’ we strive to realise each individual's full potential in a Catholic environment’, is something we live everyday as students, teachers and managers. We have a proud tradition going back to 1883 of our students reaching their potential and I invite you to look at our section from the Past Pupils Union and our archived material. We invite you to our past pupils to make contact with us and share their stories, successes and experiences and what ‘life after school’ has been for you.
Last year we had a WSE/MLL Inspection and I encourage you to view this report which we are very pleased with as it documents our effectiveness and lists many examples of our daily exemplary practice. However, we are most proud of the comments that came from a randomly selected group of students by the inspectors resulting in the following summary : Care for studentsis of a high quality. In their responses to questionnaires, students reported that they feel very safe and well cared for, they are proud of their school, and that there is a good atmosphere in the school. The school has fostered a very positive climate, characterised by respectful relationships, high expectations, care for students’ wellbeing and a focus on their holistic development.
As we enter our one hundred and thirty second year of educating young women, my wish is that this will be a truly happy and productive year for all in our school community.
